Advertising the show and Call for Artists
How To Advertise Your ACACA Show
- Posters
- Print posters – minimum of 8” x 11”.
- Start to display posters 10 days before the show.
- Place posters in secure and visible spots.
- Get permission to hang posters.
- Check and replace them, as needed.
- Signs
- Make signs to direct traffic – minimum size of 24”x 32.”
- Use not more than 7 words per sign.
- Signs need to be noticed – so use color & large text.
- Place signs in strategic places.
- If possible, display signs 3-4 days before show.
- Consider taking signage in overnight.
- Social Media
- Facebook (make the post public so it can be shared).
- Instagram, etc. (use the same design as your poster/flyer.
- Invitations
- Send out invitations to the show at least 10 days before show date.
- Flyer
- Local News and Advertising Publications (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Run the show several times, if possible.
- Contact your local sign company – ask if they would donate some signs for the event.
- Contact your local printer – ask if they would donate some posters…
Remember – bigger is better.
- Radio/TV & Cable
- Look for FREE public announcements on your local radio station and TV stations (start approx. 10 days before show – repeating minimum once daily).

Who We Are
The Alberta Community Art Clubs Association aims at uniting, serving and networking with artists throughout the province. Our goals are to foster and maintain instruction in art and to develop an interest in the knowledge of art and culture in the communities throughout the province.
Exhibitions
ACACA fills a unique niche in promoting the arts in the province of Alberta by sponsoring three juried art shows annually, hosted by art clubs from different communities each year.
