ACACA Financing for Host Club

Income to the hosting club will consist of:

  • Assistance with venue rental and set up costs of up to $1500.00 from ACACA upon application and qualification.
  • 50% of the total registration fees received. (For example: 100 pieces of art x $15 per painting = $1500 : 2 = $750)
  • 20% commission on Art sales.
  • 50% of funds raised in the SILENT AUCTION!
  • Silver collection for donations.
  • Transportation to AB Wide Show at $500 for transporting. Need 3 people to attend Alberta Wide Show to help with the receiving of the art and working tables.
  • $400 Workshop grant to Host Club for workshop held during the Zone Show.
  • Additional Grants, Sponsorship and Funds are sometimes available from the Town, Community and Alberta Foundation of the Arts if applied for by Host Club.

Expenses to the hosting club will include:

  • 50% of total registration fees to ACACA
  • 50% of the total monies received from the Silent Auction to ACACA
  • Portion of the Hall Rental if cost is above $1500 for the duration of the show.
  • Storage of Paintings, if necessary, before delivery to AB Wide Show. Usually someone will be able to store in their house, or garage, etc.
  • Printing and Stationery – invitations, catalogues, cards, posters etc.
  • Meal and snacks for jurors
  • Refreshments
  • Miscellaneous: postage, telephone, masking/packing tape.
  • Transportation if over the allowed $500.

Show Management

Management of Shows can be divided into four parts.

  1. Planning
  2. Receipt of Registrations and Works, preparing labels and consignment sheets.
  3. Jurying, Opening ceremony, Closing ceremony, Awards, Critique, and Zone meeting.
  4. Finalization of Records, including the Report to the ACACA Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, Secretary and President.

 Note: Jurors are arranged for and paid for by ACACA.

Who We Are

The Alberta Community Art Clubs Association aims at uniting, serving and networking with artists throughout the province. Our goals are to foster and maintain instruction in art and to develop an interest in the knowledge of art and culture in the communities throughout the province.

Exhibitions

ACACA fills a unique niche in promoting the arts in the province of Alberta by sponsoring three juried art shows annually, hosted by art clubs from different communities each year.
